1997 West Wight Potter 15 sailboat. In fine shape and ready to cruise!- all wood varnished fanatically this season. Complete turnkey package includes 3 sails; main, jib and spinnaker (or) gennaker (with whisker pole and extra blocks on boat). Includes burgundy sail cover for main sail, has stainless steel bow pulpit and stern rails, kick-up rudder, blue vinyl cushions, porta-potty (never used), bilge pump (also never used), oar, . It needs: the keel scraped and painted and a lower hatch-board guide installed. The port-side teak cabin-top grab rail is broken, so there are only two hand-holds instead of four on the port side. For a rare HMS 18, this boat is in good shape (especially the interior gelcoat); and her hull is solid as a rock. With a bit of sweat equity, you will have a classic boat that will increase in value as the HMS 18 Potter Fleet ages. I left my sail bag at Harmony resort in McHenry, IL in October of 2003 during the last sail of the year. Now I can't sail my Lemonhead. Please contact me I am looking for used sails. My boat is a 1976 model and I feel strange about getting new sails for the old girl. I had heard that someone was selling used sails over the winter, can't help but think they may have been mine, if you have any information, please contact me.

Just traded my truck for a car and need a smaller boat now. Anyone who is looking to move up to a more roomy boat might like to trade me a Potter 15 for my Sovereign 17. The 17 has berths for 3 or 4...depending on how many cushions you leave in....comes with 4HP outboard, lots of Dri-dek, a couple anchors, porta-potti, good trailer, just replaced all halyards and sheets, even comes with custom made fitted sheets for V-berth. Some months back I bought a copy of a Potter 15 hull, well executed in marine plywood and fiberglassed with epoxy resin. The boat is very well done. It sits on a Hobie trailer upside down, but it will be easy to add beds and turn it over when the time comes. I looked forward to building in some mods I have in mind when my retirement starts... but that date has been moved back to three years from now (drat!) and that seems like a long time to store the project with all the other boats in the backyard marina. So I am considering selling it. Here are the prices, though a package deal with better pricing is possible. Boat and trailer $500. Sunfish mast and spars (and I think a tired old sail) $125 Very nice set of early stock Potter sails, blue and white $200, Nissan 2 HP that runs very well $275. Also available is a stock Potter centerboard and an aluminum pole considered as a mast for a "cat" rig using an excellent red/white Potter 19 mainsail (sail $250). I have pictures that! I was searching for a Potter15 a few years back, and in the course of the search, I ran across an article by a fellow who thought he had developed a unique and simple way to mount a Coleman stove to the stern, above the transom with the ability to fold out of the way of the cockpit during non use periods. I was wondering if anyone else remembers that article, which I should have read a little closer, and could point me in the right heading to contact the individual. Sincerely, Robert Floch.

For those who can't find a Potter in the Midwest-- consider my beautiful, completely refurbished compac 16. This boat is in perfect condition. Comes with a Majic tilt trailer, and a 2001 3.3 merc motor.There is a lift up mount for the motor.Sails are new, no tears or patches: jib and genoa and main.The Com-Pac was designed to be towed by a small car. It weighs 1100 lbs with 450 lbs being concrete ballast in the fixed keel. The draft is 18" making it easy to launch from about any ramp. It can be towed at with a 4cyl chevy tracker. There is a cleverly constructed cabin with two 8' berths. The Hutchins company is still in business(com-pacyachts.com) and parts are easily available, At 16 feet, this boat is small, but it's built tough with attention to detail.
